About

Originally from Barcelona, I moved to San Francisco in 2013 and recently to New Haven, Connecticut.

I got my degree in Graphic Design from the Elisava School of Design and Engineering in Barcelona, Spain.

My career has taken me on a path that has allowed me to work on a wide array of projects: from surface design for apparel and home goods to illustrating book covers for a Nobel Prize winner.

BOU is a project that allows me to explore my interests and create a world of my own. I hand paint, scan and digitally alter all of the artwork myself. I hope the art brings you as much joy as it brings me in creating it!

Why Bou?

BOU (pronounced “bow”) is a tribute to my roots: meaning 'ox' in Valencian, it reflects the exploration of concepts found in my art such as heritage, culture and genealogy. How do our ancestors shape who we are?

The name references the practice of 'la pesca del bou,' an old fishing method from Valencia, Spain used by my ancestors embodying tradition and resilience. Our ancestor’s hard work and spirit to overcome allowed us to lead better lives. My nod to the name is my way of honoring them.
